HEALTHY RIVERS WORKSHOP
Developed for identified secondary school students in Years 7 - 10, our Healthy Rivers Workshop is the first of a series of Classrooms on Country™ initiatives we are developing to empower students to look after country.
Empowering Responsible Choices
This immersive experience provides students with an understanding of their role in preserving and protecting freshwater aquatic ecosystems enabling them to make informed, responsible choices.
Program Highlights

Cultural Awareness: Builds understanding around the guiding principles and values associated with looking after country.

Custodianship of Country: Explores students' cultural obligations to preserve inland rivers for future generations.

Hands-on Learning: A chance to participate in an educational, fun, practical fishing session that passes on knowledge of sustainable fishing practices.
How do the workshops work?

Workshops are two-hours in duration. Cost per student is $40.00.

We provide all associated equipment for the practical fishing workshop. A suitable site needs to be identified locally. We can work with you in regard to this!

Every participant receives a Catch and Release Mat proudly funded by the Aboriginal Fishing Trust Fund.
Please note that a minimum number of 12 students is required to run a workshop. Numbers are limited to 20 students per workshop.
